Gioachino Giussani was born in Milan in 1949 and presently lives in the medieval city of Anghiari in Arezzo, Tuscany. After finishing his Arts degree he dedicated himself solely to guitar making, under the guidance of his uncle, Carlo Raspagni, a luthier in Vignate (Mi). In 1976, in Milan, he started his own workshop building both folk and classical guitars. In 1983, he decided to concentrate exclusively on classical guitars. He has become one of Italy’s most respected luthiers, and his guitars have achieved international acclaim, and have been purchased by players such as Pepe Romero and Oscar Ghignia. The guitar is in excellent condition, apart from some very light scratches 3 to 5 mm large on the top, which as the guitar is French polished, could be easily polished out. It is setup to play comfortably.
