Beyond my primary role as a retired professor at the University of Arizona, I have deeply engaged with the guitar community, both through performance and by offering repair services. This longstanding dedication not only supported my collegiate endeavors but also led to the establishment of Zavaleta's La Casa De Guitarras in 1996. The inception of this venture was a strategic move, encouraged by my wife, Eva, to balance my passion for guitar acquisition with financial prudence.
