The Juan Hernandez Model Viviana Classical Guitar is renowned for its distinctive sound, characterized by a harmonious blend of warmth, clarity, and versatility. It delivers a rich and full-bodied tone, with deep and resonant bass notes. The midrange is clear and expressive, while the treble notes are bright and shimmering, adding a pleasing sparkle to the overall tonal palette. With well-balanced trebles and basses across its tonal spectrum, no particular frequency overpowers the others.
A standout feature of the Viviana Classical is its projection and volume. The guitar produces a robust sound that fills a room, making it suitable for both solo performances and ensemble settings. Even when played softly, the Viviana maintains great presence and responds to the player's sensitive touch, allowing for nuanced expression and emotional playing. When played vigorously, the guitar retains its clarity without becoming overly boomy, a testament to its craftsmanship and design.
In terms of versatility, this guitar excels across various genres and playing styles. Whether you're performing classical compositions, fingerstyle arrangements, or exploring contemporary acoustic music, the guitar's tonal flexibility accommodates a wide array of musical expressions.
Overall, the Juan Hernandez Viviana Classical Guitar boasts a harmoniously balanced tonal character, projecting a warm, clear, and versatile sound that appeals to classical guitarists and musicians seeking an instrument adaptable to diverse musical contexts.
Juan Hernandez Guitars was founded by Juan Hernandez Iranzo. Born in 1948, Juan started his journey as an apprentice at the Francisco Esteve workshop at the age of 15. Over time, he became a certified guitar maker and rose to the position of production manager. In 2001, he established his own workshop under the Esteve banner, where he crafted his own line of handcrafted classical and flamenco guitars.
Following his father's footsteps, Alberto Hernandez Monfort (born in 1979) began his apprenticeship at Esteve in 1994. He swiftly attained certification and joined his father's workshop. When Juan Hernandez retired, Alberto took over as production manager at Esteve and became the head luthier of Juan Hernandez Guitars, personally crafting models that bear his signature.
