About Juan Hernandez Guitars
Juan Hernandez Guitars was founded by Juan Hernandez Iranzo. Born in 1948, Juan began his journey as an apprentice at the Francisco Esteve workshop at the age of 15. Over the years, he earned his certification as a guitar maker and rose to the position of production manager. In 2001, he established his own workshop under the Esteve banner, where he began crafting a line of handcrafted classical and flamenco guitars bearing his name.
Continuing his father’s legacy, Alberto Hernandez Monfort (b. 1979) began his apprenticeship at Esteve in 1994. After quickly attaining certification, Alberto joined his father’s workshop. Following Juan Hernandez’s retirement, Alberto became the production manager at Esteve and head luthier of Juan Hernandez Guitars. Today, he personally crafts the signature models that carry the family name.
