Takis Traintafyllou is a greek luthier who works alone and builds using traditional techniques of hand construction. His guitars are build on his own pattern, and employ a bracing system he has developed himself. Besides building, he is also guitar teacher, and some of his students use his guitars. His guitars have also found acceptance among some Greek professional soloists, and abroad among guitarists, particularly in the US. The sound of this guitar would be best described as being sweet, medium loud, with projection and depth, but not Spanish in character. The guitar itself is structurally in excellent condition. No warpage of neck, no repairs, and none needed. The set up at the 12th fret on the 6th and 1st strings respectively, is a comfortable 3.5 and 3.0mm. There is 4mm of bone showing above the bridge, indicating that it has a good break angle for tone, and also sufficient bone to lower the action if one ever needs or wants to do so. PLEASE NOTE THIS GUITAR IS IN GREECE AND IS PRICED IN EUROS.
