Lorenzo Pimentel, born in Durango, Mexico 1929, made his first guitar at age 15 in a Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, workshop under the guidance of two brothers. In 1951 Lorenzo and his wife Josefina established Pimentel Guitars  They moved to Albuquerque in 1963 with a few hand tools, founded Pimentel & Sons Guitar Makers Inc. Building in the Spanish tradition their guitars achieved an international recognition. Lorenzo died in 2010, but under his the firm continues to make fine guitars. The guitar was made by Lorenzo, and was in 1998 the Grand Concert Lorenzo model gold the top of his line-- made of the finest materials and representing his best work.  It is made with fine South American rosewood, and fitted with a master grade German spruce top. Although it is set up to classical specs-- it comes with Alternate saddles made and supplied by maker to adjust action if need be. The guitar has no history of repairs, and needs none.  There is an inscription to the original owner on back of headstock. The Blue Book on this guitar is $8000, but the owner has priced it to sell.
