Juan Hernandez Guitars was founded by Juan Hernandez Iranzo, who was born in 1948. He began his journey at the Francisco Esteve workshop at the age of 15, eventually becoming a certified guitar maker and later rising to the role of production manager. In 2001, he established his own workshop under the Esteve banner, creating a personal line of handcrafted classical and flamenco guitars. Following in his father's footsteps, Alberto Hernandez Monfort, born in 1979, began his apprenticeship at Esteve in 1994. After earning certification, he joined his father’s workshop. When Juan Hernandez retired, Alberto took over as production manager at Esteve and became the head luthier for Juan Hernandez Guitars, personally crafting models that carry his signature.
