The Juan Hernandez Model Emperor is an innovative double top concert classical guitar that showcases both traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge design. Crafted from the highest grade Canadian western red cedar for the soundboards and stunning Cocobolo rosewood for the back and sides, this model embodies excellence in materials and construction.

The double top soundboard comprises two thin layers of Canadian cedar separated by a lightweight Nomex layer, enhancing the guitar's resonance, responsiveness, and tonal complexity. Traditional fan bracing, complemented by a Bouchet bar beneath the bridge, ensures improved vibration transmission across the soundboard, resulting in a wider range of harmonics and overtones. This contributes to a dynamic and expressive sound with increased sustain and controlled decay.

The Nomex double top and double back design significantly enhance the guitar's responsiveness and projection, facilitating a wide dynamic range and clear articulation across different playing styles. From delicate, warm tones when softly strummed to blossoming richness with increased intensity, each note resonates with clarity and presence, thanks to the Nomex double top's lightweight and stiff properties.

In the higher registers, the guitar's trebles sparkle with brilliance, maintaining a balanced tonal palette across the fretboard, while the bass notes resonate with full-bodied warmth, providing a solid foundation for intricate melodies and harmonies. Whether in a concert hall or an intimate setting, the Juan Hernandez Emperor model fills the space with its harmonically rich timbre, blending traditional classical guitar tones with modern construction techniques for a timeless and innovative sound.

The guitar boasts several noteworthy features, including a twelve-hole bridge for easy string changes and a comfortable setup and action. Should one desire to lower the action, ample bone is visible above the bridge saddle for easy adjustment.

Juan Hernandez Guitars was established by Juan Hernandez Iranzo, who began his journey as an apprentice at the Francisco Esteve workshop at the age of 15. After becoming a certified guitar maker and ascending to the position of production manager, he founded his personal workshop in 2001, crafting a line of handcrafted classical and flamenco guitars. Following in his father's footsteps, Alberto Hernandez Monfort swiftly achieved certification and joined his father's workshop, eventually becoming the head luthier of Juan Hernandez Guitars, crafting models that bear his signature.
