During my recent trip to Granada, I had the privilege of acquiring this 2014 Manuel Bellido "Áurea"—an extraordinary concert classical guitar from the private collection of the legendary Manuel Bellido. Preserved in pristine condition, this instrument exemplifies the unparalleled craftsmanship and tonal brilliance of one of Granada’s most esteemed luthiers.
Born in 1939 in Granada, Manuel Bellido began his journey as an apprentice under the renowned Eduardo Ferrer before collaborating with Antonio Marín Montero during their early careers. Bellido later established his own workshop, where he created masterpieces like this guitar and nurtured the next generation of luthiers, including his brother José and sons Jesús and Mauricio.
The "Áurea" model is a stunning representation of Bellido’s legacy. It features a German spruce top, delivering exceptional clarity and articulation, complemented by Indian rosewood back and sides, which provide warmth and depth to the tonal profile. The guitar’s 650mm scale length and 52mm nut width ensure effortless playability, while the elegant French polish finish enhances both its visual appeal and tonal resonance. Outfitted with Gotoh tuners, this instrument combines precision and reliability with timeless beauty.
Whether you are a professional musician, a collector, or an admirer of fine craftsmanship, this 2014 Manuel Bellido "Áurea" offers a rare opportunity to own a masterpiece from one of the most celebrated luthiers in Spanish guitar-making history.
Don’t miss the chance to own this remarkable piece of Granada’s rich guitar-making tradition!
