In 1989, Ana's life took a serendipitous turn when she married René Baarslag, a Dutch guitar maker who had made the pilgrimage to Granada in 1977 to apprentice with the master luthier Antonio Marin Montero. In 1994, Ana embarked on her own journey into the realm of luthiery under René's tutelage. Her dedication and craftsmanship blossomed over the years, culminating in the creation of her first guitar in 1997—an exquisite tribute to the legendary Antonio Torres (1817-1892), a seminal figure in the world of guitar making.
