Ana Espinosa Rodriguez, born in 1960, is from Granada and has forged a remarkable career as a luthier. Her journey into the world of woodcraft began at an early age, deeply influenced by her grandfather's legacy as a cabinet maker and her parents' work in his workshop, which kindled in her a passion for working with wood and crafting beautiful objects.

In 1989, Ana's life took a serendipitous turn when she married René Baarslag, a Dutch guitar maker who had made the pilgrimage to Granada in 1977 to apprentice with the master luthier Antonio Marin Montero. In 1994, Ana embarked on her own journey into the realm of luthiery under René's tutelage. Her dedication and craftsmanship blossomed over the years, culminating in the creation of her first guitar in 1997—an exquisite tribute to the legendary Antonio Torres (1817-1892), a seminal figure in the world of guitar making. Ana's guitars, bearing her own name, now grace the world stage, a testament to her unwavering commitment and artistry.

Ana Espinosa's concert guitars are renowned for their exceptional volume, bearing the distinctive tonal characteristics reminiscent of Torres himself. They are not only instruments but also companions, serving as vessels for artists to express their deepest musical emotions. When recording, they prove to be faithful partners, faithfully capturing every nuance of the performer's artistry.

Yet, Ana's classical instruments are where her magic truly unfolds. Her guitars possess an enchanting quality that transcends mere craftsmanship. Those fortunate enough to play them find themselves reluctant to part ways. Each note is a brushstroke of musical mastery, and the instrument itself becomes an extension of the artist's soul.
