The PB Especial is a guitar that Paulino Bernabe builds himself in his personal workshop in his home. It is one step of above the PB concierto model, and is essentially identical to it in quality of materials, differing only in one important respect, the sides are lined with cypress-- a technique that increases volume and projection. The trebles are sweet and lyrical, and sing even in the highest register. The mid-range is well-developed. The basses are rich, firm. The notes are even. The balance is superb. The setup is very comfortable. In sum, this is a guitar that any professional guitarist would be happy to play.
