This is a very special 1a concert classical made during the golden age of the Jose Ramirez III workshop by Miguel Malo (M.M.), (b.1943). He began his apprenticeship with Ramirez in 1959, and is among the most respected luthiers to come out of the workshop. This guitar once belonged to Liona Boyd (as documents above show). The seller who is a luthier whose opinion I respect describes it as "the best Ramirez I have ever owned, and I have owed many, including A.M. (Antonio Martinez) and M.T. (Mariano Tezanos)." He seller notes: There is one spline below the bridge. The finish shows some player wear, minor nicks, and dings. At some point, a coat of french polish was added to the top probably to improve its appearance. Nevertheless, he describes the guitar as being in great shape.
