Eduardo Duran Ferrer is a forth generation Luthier in Granada. Born in 1965, he was trained by his father, Antonio Duran, and by his grandfather Eduardo Ferrer. This guitar is Eduardo 1a especial, and has everything that a professional player demands in a fine flamenco guitar: power, responsiveness, a great rasp, depth of tone, singing trebles, profound basses, and playability. It does have one minor cosmetic flaw having nothing to do with its sound: a small area of the top below the bridge shows an attempt to French polish over a scratch in the top that happened in the shop. Unfortunately, Eduardo was unable to duplicate the mix of orange tint to the french polish used originally, and so it is visible. Because of this, Eduardo gave me substantial discount that has allowed me to price this guitar at nearly half of what it would sell for ordinarily.
