Infrequently seen instrument by famous Granada maker, Jose Ferrer (1926-1976), son of Eduardo Ferrer, built during his Palma de Mallorca period. Build towards the end of his career, eight years before he died. Although not very visible in the pics, there is a very thin back stripe of light colored wood matching the thin light wood of the purfling. Just re-polished in matte lacquer by German Vasquez Rubio for a very vintage look.. Four repaired grain checks in lower to mid-portion of back that have been cleated with radiused grafts by GVR.. Probably just humidity related. Face is in perfect condition as are sides. No dings, nicks, gouges, or string burns anywhere. New full clear golpeador. The owner reports it has lots of volume! Excellent flamenco rasp. Very handsome appearance.
