Vicente Carrillo Casas was born in 1963 into a family that has dedicated itself to the building of stringed instruments since 1836, the year in which his great-grandfather Blas Carrillo Alarcon started the workshop. When Blas passed away, his son Vicente Carrillo Lopez continued his work, and after his death in 1962, his son Vicente Carrillo Cantos continued his work. In 1983 Vicente Carrillo Casas took charge of the family workshop. It is his signature that adorns the label of this lovely guitar.?? During this period, Vicente still worked with only one helper, and was building each guitar by hand. This was his a top of the line 1A model at that time, and is a full-fledged concert instrument. This guitar is structurally sound and generally in excellent condition. The neck is straight, and there are no deformations of the soundboard or back. The finish, has a few of scratches, but nothing terrible. |
