José Ruiz Pedregosa (b. 1958) is the only disciple of the Spanish luthier Jerónimo Peña Fernández whose guitars are played by such great flamenco players as Monolo Sanlucar, Manolo Escobar, and Enrique Montoya. I have compared José Ruiz Pedregosa's flamenco guitars head to head with that of flamenco Gerundino Fernandez and found that I liked that of Jose Ruiz Pedregosa more. This is one of the most regal sounding flamenco guitars we have. It has all the qualities that flamenco players demand: volume, great rasp, quickness, low fast action, and authentic flamenco tone.
