We know classical guitars and carry carefully selected inventory of fine handmade concert guitars by individual Spanish luthiers. Because we are a guitar dealer not a retail store, our concert guitars are not those left after thousands of buyers have looked at them. We have no pound puppies. 

SPECIAL ORDERS: If you do not see what you are looking for we have relationships with over 40 luthiers in Spain, and can have any of them make you a guitar guitar. For our overseas clients, while you are welcome to buy from our U.S. inventory, we can offer you substantial saving by doing a special order and shipping directly from Spain.

Marcelino López Nieto, (b. 1931), has been building guitars since 1947, now with more than a sixty-five of experience, is one of Spain's most respected and accomplished luthiers. He is one of only five living Spanish makers included on Summerfield's list of the finest guitar makers since 1800.

2012 Angel Benito Aguado, Espanoleta

We are proud to offer this handmade instrument by the Spanish luthier Angel Benito Aguado.  Inspired by Madrid school of guitar building, the Espanoleta model uses the low bridge of the Madrid school, and traditional bracing.  Nevertheless, it is the result of careful experiments with proportions and weight.

2012 Manuel Adalid, Model Viviana Concert Classical Guitar

Manuel Adalid (b. 1951) is a second generation luthier, and the head luthier at Esteve. He is widely respected as one of Spain's most experimental and innovative guitar makers.  The guitars Manuel makes under his own name, however, are not production guitars.

2012 Aarón García Ruíz, Concert Classical Guitar

Aaron Garcia Ruiz is a luthier in Granada. He is also musicologist and professor at the University of Granada. Aaron apprenticed with Manuel Fernandez Fernandez, working with this master luthier until his death in 1997, he then continued his training with Manuel's son, Jose Manuel Fernandez Enriquez.  This guitar is typical of his fine work-- beautifully made with a refined tone.

Jesus Bellido is the son of Manuel Bellido, and a fine luthier in his own right.  Unlike most makers, Jesus has a milling saw, and processes the wood for his guitars himself, a fact that allows him to offer a 1a quality guitar at a reasonable price.

2012 José Ruiz Pedregosa, Concert Classical Guitar

Jose Ruiz Pedregosa (b. 1958) was trained by Spanish luthier Jerónimo Peña Fernández. This model like that of his teacher is adorned with carved headstock and bridge. While this makes this an work of art, it is its sound that makes it a great classical guitar, over all the sound reminds me of a Fleta, especially with its cello like basses, and sweet full-bodied trebels.

2011 Paulino Bernabe, Model Torres Concert Classical Guitar

Top: German Spruce
Back & Sides: Madagascar rosewood
Price: $10,950.00

Paulino Bernabe's model Torres is based on an 1864 Torres in his collection. Although the style of this copy is true to the original generally, it isn't stuck entirely in the 19th century, and so incorporates some nice touches, such as Bernabe's new bridge that looks the same,  but maintains an optimal string angle over the saddle.
